One of the greatest expectations of any organization after training is to see changes in behaviour and sustainability of the change. This, however, is more often, not fulfilled and the gap continues to exist. Many, including trainers, believe that behaviour cannot be changed over a few days training.

Dr Maria Rufina, however, a renowned corporate trainer and consultant with 25 years of training experience say that it is possible to see changes and sustainability over a few days training, given the proper "dose" of information in capsules and the right technique of nurturing.

According to Dr M, as she is popularly known, to achieve this, we need "Hit the Spot " (HTS) training, which is based on three steps. Firstly, the sculpting process. To HTS, each training has to be sculpted meticulously, taking into consideration the expected behaviours, the gaps and the client's requirement. One of the biggest mistakes is being too ambitious to address too many things over a day or two. Dr M quotes " If you try to solve everything, you cannot solve anything". Hence, it is we trainers, who need to draw from the clients on what specific behaviour they want to be changed.

Secondly the delivering process. When delivering the training, there need to be a lot of elements that stir up feelings and convict the person. This is what actually brings about the changes and not merely bullet points, as the saying by James Freeman Clarke goes "Strong convictions precede great actions". These, of course, have to be delivered in a non-threatening manner and their context fit.

Finally, the assimilating process. This is where the application is emphasized through various means. To do this, we need to grease the wheel so that they find it easy, interesting, measurable and fun to implement and sustain. Dr.M is a strong believer of Peter Drucker's quote "You cannot improve what you cannot measure" and credits this ability to her Mathematical background and QA Managerial experience. These faculty have been instrumental in creating charts, techniques and strategies that work.

Dr.M has tested her approach with over 50,000 people both locally and internationally on various core competencies such as Present with Impact, Train The Trainer, Strategic Thinking & Planning, Customer Service, Management & Leadership topics, Quality Control, Troubleshooting and Analysis, Motivation and Teambuilding, just to name a few. Participants of various levels and nationalities, find her training extremely inspiring and life-changing!

To impact more people, Dr M's "Hit The Spot" package is now being made available to corporate clients in the form of "Expert Certified Training Package".
