Tuscaloosa Psychotherapist Sexual Abuse Lawyer, Emotional Distress Suits Updated

As such, he can now help those victims who have been abused by their psychiatrist, psychologist, or other mental health professional, to sue them for both compensatory and punitive damages. Punitive damages are an additional form of payment that is often seen as a form of punishment, one that takes into account the gravity of the crime and the severity of the psychotherapist’s actions.
As Mr. Zarzaur explains, “There are no limits on compensatory damages in medical malpractice cases in Alabama, but there is a cap on punitive damages. It is important to consult with an experienced medical malpractice lawyer like myself for guidance on compensation.”
With his expanded service, depending upon the nature of the abuse, he will now seek the maximum level of punitive damages in tandem with a high sum of compensatory damages.
