Tiffany Norwood Bring "Sexy Black Genius" to The Roxy

Oct 7, 2026

Technology pioneer and entrepreneur turns her extraordinary life into a nerd comedy show-then keeps Halloween party going after the show.

Los Angeles, California Oct 7, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - What happens when a woman who helped raise more than $670 million, launched a pioneering satellite venture that helped pave the way for digital satellite radio, and built businesses around the world decides to take the stage?

You get Tiffany Norwood: Sexy Black Genius -- A Nerd Comedy Show, written by and starring Tiffany Norwood, coming to The Roxy in Los Angeles on October 31 at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.

But don't expect a business lecture.

Sexy Black Genius is smart, funny, irreverent and decidedly unexpected. Norwood takes the twists, triumphs and absurdities of an extraordinary life in technology, entrepreneurship and innovation and turns them into an evening of storytelling and comedy--with plenty of fun along the way.

Norwood's real-life résumé gives her plenty of material. She has raised hundreds of millions of dollars, worked across multiple continents and helped launch WorldSpace, the pioneering satellite communications company whose technology and business ecosystem preceded today's satellite-radio era. Norwood's entrepreneurial journey began well before WorldSpace. She became a CEO while still a university student, filed for her first patent at 19 and, at 24, licensed software code for a multibillion-dollar bank merger.

A graduate of Cornell University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in economics with concentrations in statistics and computer science, Norwood later received her MBA from Harvard University. In 2022, Cornell named her its Entrepreneur of the Year, making her the first Black woman to receive the honor in the award's nearly four-decade history.

Today, Norwood is Founder and CEO of Tribetan, an education technology company focused on innovation and entrepreneurial literacy, and a co-founder of SimWin Sports, a digital sports league platform, and Elfkare, an AI-for-Good company.
Yet on Halloween night, Norwood isn't coming to The Roxy to give a keynote. She's coming to make people laugh.

And when the show ends, the night is just getting started.

At 10 p.m., Norwood will host The SEXY Halloween Party at The Roxy, a separate ticketed event following the performance.

Come for the Genius. Stay for the SEXY.

Following Los Angeles, Sexy Black Genius is looking across the Atlantic, with London among the destinations being developed for the show's expanding international presence.
