A native to New Jersey, Dr. Rubenstein graduated with her medical degree from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in 2016. She then relocated to the United States, performing her residency in pediatrics and her fellowship in pediatric neurology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 2016 and 2021, respectively.
Following her education, she attained board certification in neurology and child neurology through the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.
As a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Neurology and the Child Neurology Society, Dr. Rubenstein is keenly interested in current neurological research. Most recently, she published in Stroke and Vascular Neurology for her COVID-related study of stroke in children.
Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. A child neurologist, or pediatric neurologist, is a doctor who treats children who have problems with their nervous system. Problems in the nervous system can start in the brain, spine, nerves, or muscles. These can lead to problems such as seizures, headaches, or developmental delays.
