Preparation Urged as Hurricane Dorian Approaches Georgia and the Carolinas

Preparations Underway as Hurricane Dorian Makes its Way to the East Coast

Woodbridge, United States - September 5, 2019 /MarketersMedia/ —

Authorities urge residents, particularly those living near the coast of South Carolina and North Carolina, to undertake storm preparations as Hurricane Dorian barrels towards the mainland after decimating the Bahamas over the weekend. The storm, which was only the second Category 5 hurricane ever to touch the Bahamas, is now rated Category 2 as it reaches land in Florida. Though not as strong as over the weekend, the size of the hurricane has increased, meaning more land may be affected by its strong wind gales, torrential rains, and imminent flooding.

As Dorian leaves the Bahamas and moves northward, the possibilities of hurricane-forced winds hitting the Carolinas intensifies. Residents and stranded vacationers were advised to stock up on provisions like water, food, flashlights, candles, solar-powered chargers, prescription medication, batteries, and gas. Go-bags and emergency kits should also be ready.

To ensure that evacuees have sufficient medical provisions while away from their homes or sheltering in place, it is essential that they have a reliable and portable first aid kit in their go-bags. Surviveware offers a line of adventure and survival gear, including an evacuation-friendly first aid kit fit for any emergency.

Surviveware’s Small First Aid Kit is a portable and lightweight pack that contains 100 provisions catered to the needs and requirements of travelers and backpackers. The kit has enough supplies to sustain one through many injuries and mishaps with a variety of items for treating wounds, bruises, concussions, shock, bug bites, contusions, and more.

Apart from being loaded with life-saving provisions, the kit is a sought-after emergency pack due to its portability, at it weighs in at just one pound. This kit can be carried using the MOLLE-compatible straps attached to the back. These straps can be conveniently attached to a rucksack, bicycle, rack, rollbar, or backpack. This is a perfect way of maximizing one’s carrying space without sacrificing safety. If one’s go-bag is not MOLLE-supported, Surviveware’s travel first aid pack can be attached to a carabiner and hooked on.

The Surviveware first aid kit has organized and labeled compartments, making searching for supplies in an emergency one thing you need not worry about. Items are stored in compartments based on their size and use. The sections are labeled with content and quantity that inform users where a particular item is located at just a glance.

Surviveware’s Small First Aid Kits is a preferred kit when it comes to disaster preparedness and safety. Kylie, a Surviveware Amazon client, shared a review detailing how the Surviveware Small First Aid Kit completes her hurricane preparedness kit:

“We bought this little first aid kit to complete our hurricane preparedness kit. Was a little hesitant at first due to the price but was not disappointed. This little kit has everything we needed and then some.

We received the kit quickly. There was an offer inside to receive a free tactical flashlight with our purchase, and upon its arrival, we received a handwritten thank you card. That personal touch makes this company stand out from all others. Looking to purchase the larger kit from them in the future.”
