Optimal Spine and Body’s approach to patient care is unique in the industry. Dr. Weiner recognizes that each patient is different, therefore, each diagnosis and treatment is tailored to the individual patient’s specific condition. It is a “whole body approach” rather than the “symptom-based diseased treatment” that is standard in the industry, according to Dr. Weiner.
With his whole body approach, Dr. Weiner has had success eliminating the need for surgeries and medications for many of his patients.
Instead of treating the symptoms, Dr. Weiner works with the patient to get to the root cause of the pain. Taking into account the patient’s lifestyle, he does a thorough exam which includes an X-ray, spinal movement assessment, orthopedic tests, neurological tests, among others to diagnose the root cause of the disability. Together he and the patient set a short term and long-term treatment plan, which may include changes at home, exercises, and of course, the spinal rehabilitation technique best suited for the patient.
Walk into Optimal Spine and Body and enter a relaxing, stress-free, family-oriented office “where you can dump everything outside the door” with a room of games and toy dedicated to children. Among the office’s healing and adjustment rooms is a treatment room dedicated to “spinal remodeling,” which includes traction equipment that can be individualized for each patient.
Many athletes, dancers and performers know the benefits of and get chiropractic care. Optimal Spine and Body is committed to athletes of all ages with an emphasis on children because young, growing athletes need to have optimal spinal alignment in to thrive. For the athlete, Dr. Weiner performs a sport-specific exam to optimize performance on the field and may prescribe sport-specific exercises.
At the age of ten, Dr. Wiener suffered a herniated disc and was told he needed surgery. His father, also a chiropractor, healed Michael without the need for the needed surgery.
