Old Version Smartphone Android Auto Wireless Adapter, Companion App Updated
Sep 12, 2023
Carsifi, the startup behind a wireless Android Auto adapter, has updated its companion app to further streamline the installation process.
Wilmington, United States - September 12, 2023 /PressCable/ —
This update is especially geared toward those with older vehicles, as they require the app to facilitate installation. CEO Ihor Martsekha says that the enhanced app ensures that a broader range of vehicles can use Android Auto without the hassle of cables.

Vehicle owners with Android 8 or lower on their entertainment system are advised to download the app, which provides step-by-step instructions on how to pair a user’s smartphone with their dashboard, which unlocks wireless Android Auto functionality.
NO DRIVER LEFT BEHIND
While vehicles with smart car features are growing in popularity, this advanced technology often commands a price premium. Indeed, industry figures show that the typical car now costs upward of $48,000.
By using Carsifi, individuals whose vehicles do not have built-in WiFi can still enjoy smart car functionality.
BEYOND INSTALLATION
Those with newer versions of the Android operating system can likewise benefit from the app. Martsekha explains that through the app interface, users can change their WiFi password settings to enhance security. Furthermore, they can program the Magic Button feature, which enables the dongle to switch between different saved user profiles with a single tap. Lastly, car owners can use the app to update Carsifi’s firmware over the air (OTA).
FULL FUNCTIONALITY
Martsekha adds that with Carsifi, motorists can unlock the full potential of Android Auto on their vehicles. Aside from wireless usage, the adapter can also enable voice commands, a more convenient and safer way to launch apps. In relation to this, drivers can access the full suite of applications on Android Auto, including music, communication, navigation, audiobooks, and Google Assistant.
STABLE CONNECTION
Users can rest assured that their connection will remain stable and reliable despite the lack of cables. The dongle uses both 2.4/5 GHz and Bluetooth protocols to link smartphones and entertainment systems. Hence, there will be no lag even when taking calls from the dashboard.
Martsekha says: “We envision a future where every car can access internet-enabled functionalities. The recent update to our companion app is proof of our commitment to that mission.”
