For NFT fans looking to get their hands on the latest wild new token, the wait is over. A newly minted piece titled “Lord Kanye” is currently up for auction on Mintable, an NFT marketplace, ending on the morning of September 9th. The digital art token features Kanye West reimagined as Jesus Christ, in a style that pays tribute to Pablo Picasso.
As YouTube commentator Crypto By Design points out, “this has been described as the first piece of artwork in this style worldwide.” He further adds in describing the piece, “Here it is. Kanye, as Jesus. Something perhaps Yay himself has seen while looking in the mirror many times before. You can see the Picasso interpretation with the added eye, and the Jesus styling with the bit of thorny crown visible on his forehead. Quite unique, you have to say.”
The NFT listing states: “This first of its kind digital artwork depicting Kanye West as Jesus Christ, Pablo Picasso style. Search worldwide and there is nothing like it to be found – be the first to own this unique concept design. Kanye West is a cultural icon and this piece will surely be an investment valued by the future collecter.”
NFT popularity has been growing at a thrilling pace throughout the whole of the year. Speculators, investors and collectors alike are rushing to the digital artwork, with many reporting their investments undergoing exponential gains.
