NetworkNewsBreaks – AVAIL Vapor Announces PMTA Acceptance from FDA for e-Liquid Nicotine Offerings
Aug 11, 2020
AVAIL Vapor, a leading premium U.S. retailer, has received its first Premarket Tobacco Application (“PMTA”) acceptance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”). The PMTA was received for AVAIL’s e-liquid nicotine product line. The company is in the process of filing several similar applications before the Sept. 9, 2020, PMTA deadline in line with its strategy to offer a variety of products to adults seeking alternative choices to combustible tobacco products. The e-liquid nicotine product application will now enter the substantive scientific review stage, during which the FDA will identify whether AVAIL has proven that its nicotine vaping products are appropriate for the protection of public health. “We started mapping out our regulatory framework and PMTAs in 2015, before nicotine vaping products became subject to the FDA’s tobacco authority,” said AVAIL chairman James Xu in the press release. “We couldn’t be more pleased that the years of hard work, investment and dedication have gotten us to this point.”
