Apr 6, 2021
New York City, New York Apr 6, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - As there is so much division in the U.S. in 2021, unity is needed more than ever. Millennials' Guide to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is coming out right when Americans need it most. This book answers all questions readers might have about racism, sexism, promoting diversity, understanding current social events, and more -- and it's not only for Millennials!
Millennials' Guide to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, by Drs. Lisa Jenkins and Jennifer Wisdom provide Millennials - and people of all ages - with information, suggestions, self-assessments, and advice for making positive changes for DEI. The authors have years of experience working with DEI: Dr. Lisa Jenkins is a New York City-based cultural strategist who specializes in multicultural studies and cultural diversity, and Dr. Wisdom is a Portland, Oregon- and New York City-based researcher who studies and writes about the Millennial experience.
Many Americans are wondering what they can do as individuals to help ensure that all of us feel included, respected, and treated fairly. "Whatever privilege and power you may have - as a supervisor or through your personal characteristics - use it for good," said co-authors, Lisa Jenkins, and Jennifer Wisdom. The authors go on to describe ways to learn, help, and make our nation a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive society. It also provides tools to put into practice to become a part of the solution for DEI in the workplace, community, and in the world.
