With lifestyle-associated diseases on the rise, ProBody Warehouse has announced updated stocks of Redcon1 MRE, a meal replacement powder containing proteins from whole foods and low-glycemic carbohydrates.
El Cajon, United States - February 10, 2023 /PressCable/ —
The sports nutrition store announced that it now stocks the Redcon1 whole foods meal replacement powder as a healthy alternative to high-calorie foods that cause blood sugar fluctuations. This MRE provides 75g of low GI (glycemic index) carbohydrates and 47g of proteins from non-whey whole foods.
The Redcon1 meal replacement shake is fortified with calcium, iron, and potassium and can be ordered through the ProBody Warehouse e-store. The sports nutrition store recommends this MRE to busy professionals and those with active lifestyles. A single serving of four scoops (130g) supplies 530 calories and 94% of an individual's daily protein requirement.
Poor nutrition among busy professionals has been an area of significant research. For example, a study published in the Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior reveals that busy work schedules are the primary obstacle to healthy dietary habits. Additionally, young people in some cultures have shifted towards foods rich in refined carbohydrates, saturated fat, and sodium.
ProBody Warehouse offers the Redcon1 MRE as a healthy alternative to carb-rich junk food. The low-carb meal replacement shake contains MCT (medium chain triglycerides) extracted from coconut oil, giving users a bioavailable source of healthy fat.
The whole food blend includes protein from beef, salmon, chicken, egg, brown rice, and peas. Redcon1 contains no whey protein and only 5g of sugar.
Known locally as the 'athlete's candy shop', ProBody Warehouse is San Diego's leading supplier of sports nutrition supplements, nootropics, superfoods, and digestive health products. Each product available in-store and online is chosen by the ProBody Warehouse team.
According to a spokesperson for the store, "Our professional-grade MRE is made from natural ingredients and a real protein blend. Our formula contains absolutely no whey. With MRE, we have given you the nutrients you need to repair and recover muscle tissue from the best possible whole foods sources. So stop reaching for fast foods and go for whole foods with MRE."
