Julie Ann Harrigan, MD, Family Physician

Having grown up in Mexico, Dr. Harrigan graduated with her Medical Degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine in Mexico. Her first residency was in general medicine and surgery in Mexico, with a second residency in family medicine at the University of New Mexico Hospital. 

Currently, she is completing her grandfathered Fellowship Degree in Physician and Clinical Informatics to bring her career full circle expertise.

Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Harrigan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice family medicine and its sub-specialties.

A woman of many titles, Dr. Harrigan holds the position of CEO/CMO at Physician EHR Solutions, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her work here involves advising hospitals, healthcare systems, and outpatient practices on provider workflow, clinical improvement, and EHR implementation.

Additionally, she serves as Medical Director at Hospice Compassus, a contract position she has held since September 2011 in New Mexico. In this capacity, she oversees end-of-life care for a large number of patients and takes on the role of primary community outreach director.

Preceding this, Dr. Fauntleroy served as a Physician Executive in Clinical Informatics at Impact Advisors from September 2022 to June 2023, and as a Clinical Informatics Advisor at EvidenceCare from August 2022 to January 2023.

Among her professional affiliations, Dr. Fauntleroy is an active member of the American Medical Informatics Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Society of Hospital Medicine, and the Association of Medical Directors of Informatics.
