He then went on to complete his residency in orthopaedic surgery at New York Medical College, followed by his fellowship in orthopaedic sports medicine and adult reconstruction at the University of South Alabama's Center for Joint Restoration under the direction of Albert Pearsall IV, MD. 

A Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (FAAOS), he is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the New York State Osteopathic Medical Society, and the American Medical Association.

Furthermore, the doctor is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, which is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons. 

A published author and public speaker, Dr. Jacob is highly regarded by his peers and is actively involved in the development and successful implementation of the latest and most innovative surgical techniques and procedures.
