Currently he practices as a Hospitalist and is affiliated with a number of hospitals including St. Vincent Erie, Penn Highlands DuBois, Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center, TidalHealth Peninsula Regional, Evangelical Lewisburg and Methodist Jefferson Philadelphia.
Educated in Nigeria and the United Kingdom Dr. Iroha graduated with his medical degree from the University of Benin, Faculty of Medicine in 1998. He started his training in the United Kingdom initially with an initial interest in general surgery and completed his membership with the royal college of surgeons in Edinburgh. He however found his passion really lay with internal medicine and he relocated to the United States, performing his residency in internal medicine at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center from 2008 until 2011.
Attributing his success to a commitment to great patient outcomes, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.
Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Iroha enjoys outdoor activities like trail running, biking, and swimming.
