Pilloo’s updated service allows customers to turn their favourite photos into fluffy custom-shaped pillows made from high-quality materials. The pillows make suitable gifts for Christmas, birthdays, and other celebrations.

The update comes at a time of year when many Canadians are frantically looking for unique gifts to give their family and friends. “With so many different products on the market, it can be difficult to find gifts that are both original and useful,” explained a spokesperson for Pilloo. “We updated our customization service so customers can take matters into their own hands and create memorable gifts that will last a lifetime.”
To make a pillow using the customization service, the customer starts by uploading their photo to Pilloo’s online design tool. Once it is uploaded, the tool creates a mock-up of the pillow that they can edit and adjust. Lastly, they select the size and quantity of pillows they want and then submit their order.
Pilloo’s design team handcrafts each pillow at their Montreal factory. For the shells of the pillows they use 100% velvet and polyester and for the filling they opt for an eco-friendly stuffing material. In addition to giving the pillows their soft and fluffy feel and look, this combination of materials also ensures that they are hypoallergenic, anti-microbial, and machine-washable.
The prints on the pillows are made using an advanced sublimation technique that utilizes heat to fuse the non-toxic inks and resins with the fabric. By using this technique, Pilloo can produce images, graphics, and patterns that are sharp, colourful, and long-lasting.
“The team at Pilloo helped me create a really special pillow for my sister who I don’t get to see very much,” said a satisfied client. “I got my favourite photo of us printed on the pillow and it looks very crisp and bold. The materials are also very soft and comfy. Now she’ll have a nice reminder of our bond that she can keep in her dorm room while she’s at school.”
