Best Lawyers in America “is the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession…. The final list included 54,905 lawyers from all 50 states plus the District of Columbia, who practice in 140 different areas of the law.
The process for selection to Best Lawyers includes five steps:
• The attorney is nominated by an outside party.
• The nominee is then evaluated by attorneys who are currently on the Best Lawyers list.
• The results of those evaluations are calculated, vetted and reviewed.
• Nominees are then passed through another vetting process, to ensure they are in good standing with their bar association(s).
• The firm is informed of selection.
Inclusion on the list one year does not ensure selection for upcoming years.
