Considered a hidden gem in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Old Orchard Country Club has been providing golf and event-hosting services since 1928. Currently a part of the Prospect Heights Park District, the club has become a popular location for weddings and other celebrations. The club has expanded its wedding and event venue options to meet this growing demand.

A recent in-depth report by online wedding vendor platform - The Knot, revealed the first major decisions that couples make is selecting a venue. And that nearly 6 in 10 couples (57%) selected a wedding location within 30 miles of where they currently live.

To cater to this demand for more local venues, Old Orchard Country Club has expanded its wedding package offerings to give more betrothed couples more opportunities to create the dream wedding day on any budget.

For outdoor weddings, Old Orchard Country Club offers a couple of options. The 10th Tee Ceremony venue—which is located on the golf course—is the more scenic of the two. This 300-guest option features fountains, white folding chairs, a ceremony arch, and a music set-up. The Front Garden venue, which is slightly smaller at only 100 guests, provides a much more intimate setting that is closer to the clubhouse.

As far as indoor ceremonies, Old Orchard Country Club only has one venue, but it provides ample space and features for any wedding. The venue is located just off the Ballroom and features floor-to-ceiling windows. Included with this 200-guest location are grey chairs, a ceremony arch, and a music set-up.

Old Orchard Country Club offers their Ballroom and Clubhouse for the reception and dinner portion of the wedding. The 275-guest Ballroom has a more formal vibe, with glass chandeliers, light-up backdrops, and floor-to-ceiling windows. The 125-guest Clubhouse is more casual, featuring a bar, cocktail tables, and fireplaces. Both venues have access to porches and can be used for other events in addition to weddings.

“I attended a beautiful outdoor ceremony and reception at Old Orchard Country Club not that long ago,” said a satisfied guest. “The grounds were very well kept, the parking was plentiful, and the food at the reception afterwards was delicious. Also, the serving staff wasn’t overbearing or intrusive; they were there when needed, letting the guests enjoy the wedding. I really enjoyed it.”
