Bellevue, WA Prolotherapy Injections For Neck Pain & CCI: Treatment Updated
Feb 9, 2024
Interventional Orthopedics of Washington (425-326-1665), a specialty regenerative medicine practice for musculoskeletal conditions, announced updates to its non-surgical treatments for neck pain and craniosacral instability (CCI).
Bellevue, United States - February 9, 2024 /PressCable/ —
Patients can now receive new precision diagnostics and advanced injection therapies to improve pain and restore cervical ligament strength with Interventional Orthopedics of Washington's spinal regenerative medicine expert Dr. Otono Silva.
More details can be found at https://iowmed.com/head-neck/
The update provides non-surgical alternatives for people suffering from symptoms of CCI for whom conventional treatments have not worked. These can include neck pain, headaches, migraines, nausea, brain fog, dizziness, and impaired coordination. The condition has also been linked to POTS - a sudden heart rate increase after getting up from sitting or lying down.
CCI is characterized by heightened mobility between the skull and upper cervical spine resulting from loose or damaged ligaments. Trauma such as whiplash is one of the most common causes. The condition can also arise from Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD) and Hypermobile Elhers-Danlos Syndrome (HEDS) affecting the connective tissues.
At Interventional Orthopedics of Washington, Dr. Silva conducts a thorough physical exam and medical history analysis which may be combined with other diagnostic tests to determine the root cause of his patients’ neck pain. Following diagnosis, a custom treatment plan is designed that typically begins with lifestyle changes such as an anti-inflammatory diet, physical therapy, and postural improvements.
For patients who do not respond to conservative care or those with severe symptoms, the clinic offers 3 types of precision-image-guided regenerative injectable therapies to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes and promote ligamentous growth. These are prolotherapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, and cellular therapy derived from the patient’s own blood or stem cells.
Interventional Orthopedics of Washington’s founder Dr. Otono Silva is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and felowship-trained in Interventional Orthopedics at the Centeno-Shultz Clinic - the Regenexx headquarters for international providers. Patients experiencing head and neck pain can contact the clinic to book a consultation.
A satisfied patient said: “Dr. Silva is bringing a new focus to the practice of orthopedics. By using the latest technologies, he is able to help his patients recover in ways few others can. He is personable, and it is clear that he cares about outcomes.”
