Avantra Releases New Guide on Cloud Infrastructure Automation for SAP Customers

Leading AIOPs platform for SAP automation operations, Avantra has released a new guide to help customers automate their SAP infrastructure to reduce performance issues and prevent costly downtime.

Richmond,United Kingdom - September 9, 2022 /PressCable/ —

As a Silver SAP Partner, Avantra helps SAP-centric enterprises understand infrastructure automation in a recent guide that explains the benefits of introducing full-stack automation to bring the full advantages of the cloud to SAP systems.

According to the company, leveraging SAP application and run-time task automation on the cloud, users can efficiently respond to varying business demands and enjoy flexibility while modifying the system configurations—all in a highly protected environment. The result is optimised scale, accelerated deployments, standardisation, improved performance, reduced TCO, and elimination of the requirement for expensive and niche skills.

However, due to automation principles applicable to on-prem SAP deployment differing from those in the cloud, users may need to reconsider their SAP environment architecture on the cloud to reap the benefits of automation.

Additionally, the target sizing for the SAP system in on-prem deployment is configured for occasional workload peaks. The result is an upsurge in TCO (total cost of ownership)—despite not utilising the full system capacity, end users have to pay for all resources allocated.

Avantra marks the cloud’s ability to scale and flexibility in payments (pay per use) as key drivers behind the mass migration of SAP systems to the cloud.

However, as the auto-scale tools with cloud platforms don’t offer performance tracking and real-time visibility into SAP internal functions, CSPs fail to scale the SAP landscape as dynamically as customers require for maximum cost saving—this is where a SAP automation solution comes into play.

Avantra claims it can deliver dynamic KPI and performance-based vertical (up or down) and horizontal (in or out) cloud scaling with real-time visibility into SAP functions to help manage computing power based on demand.

Even though deploying SAP systems leveraging the multi-tenant model brings down TCO and offers ease of data isolation and tenant-specific customisation, managing IT environments with multiple CSPs is challenging. High-end SAP operation automation platforms can help users manage their complex multi-tenant SAP landscape while ensuring complete performance transparency.

With over 30% of SAP customers already having moved to the cloud infrastructure, it is evident that migrating SAP workloads to the cloud is no longer challenging.

And statistics reveal that as many enterprises plan to migrate, most remain partially on-prem, opting for a dynamic hybrid landscape that requires sophisticated system monitoring.

Avantra claims while its high-end AIOPs platform offers intelligent system maintenance for cloud or hybrid SAP landscape, its flexible workflow automation engine can enable clients to eliminate complex manual processes. The result is more controlled and streamlined operations within the SAP ecosystem.

Avantra is an industry-recognized AIOPs for SAP delivering services in the cloud, hybrid, SaaS, or on-prem. It helps SAP-centric businesses transform into self-healing enterprises by running and automating complicated SAP operations more effectively.
