Virginia Davis, a talented storyteller who also has a knack for sewing and quilting, has completed her new audiobook "The Adventures of Mackadoodle": a delightful story inspired by her own pup.
The Mackadoodle story came to mind when Virginia's dog, Mack, a.k.a. Mackadoodle, woke up one morning unable to walk. The vet used laser treatments and injections to get him moving again. After two months, he was walking and running just fine.
Published by Audiobook Network, author Virginia Davis's new audiobook is an uplifting tale that reminds listeners of the significance of having friends who will cheer them on when they're down.
The story follows Mack, a long-haired, black-and-tan dachshund who values friendships with everyone around him. When Mack finds himself unable to walk one morning, his friends become his source of strength and inspiration that help him overcome such a frightening situation.
Listeners can purchase the audiobook edition of "Mackadoodle" by Virginia Davis through Audible, the Apple iTunes Store, or Amazon.
Audiobooks are the fastest growing segment in the digital publishing industry. According to The Infinite Dial 2019, 50% of Americans age 12 and older have listened to an audiobook. This huge growth can be partly attributed to increased listening in cars, which surpassed the home as the #1 audiobook listening location in the 2019 survey. Smart speaker proliferation also bodes well for future listening growth and more mainstream listening.
