Extract Engineering announces its expanded diesel injector testing service, allowing it to serve transport and haulage fleets in the Aberdeen area.

Carlisle, United Kingdom - September 25, 2023 /PressCable/ —

The development aligns with the company’s goal to become the foremost testing centre for Scotland and the Borderlands region. Chief Engineer Steve Jefferson says the centre has state-of-the-art testing facilities to ensure fast and accurate testing and calibration of diesel injectors.

Jefferson adds that Extract Engineering’s convenient location means clients no longer have to send their injectors and pumps to Preston or the Midlands for evaluation. Faster servicing equates to shorter downtimes, resulting in greater profits for transport companies.

The diesel injector is one of the most crucial components of an engine because it controls the amount of fuel introduced into the combustion chamber. If this part is faulty, issues such as misfires, poor fuel economy, and accelerated engine damage can occur.

Extract Engineering uses cutting-edge technology to assess and correct discrepancies with fuel injectors. Among the equipment it uses are the AVM2-PC and Hartridge Sabre CRI Expert diesel test benches. It is staffed by highly trained diesel specialists who are well-versed in all fuel injector issues.

It is also one of a small group of Delphi-approved testing centres in the UK. As such, fleet owners with Delphi-equipped engines can rest assured that their equipment can be recalibrated to OEM standards.

Jefferson notes, however, that the centre can test fuel injectors from all manufacturers, including Bosch and Denso. Moreover, it offers end-to-end servicing to ensure that injectors are working in tip-top condition when re-installed into the engines.

The chief engineer notes: “Our team is committed to providing trusted and timely testing services to fleets throughout Perth. You no longer have to waste time sending equipment to other cities when our testing centre offers a more convenient solution. You can rest assured that your diesel fuel injectors will be handled by highly trained professionals who care about your equipment as much as you do.”
